Cremation of the Lady Penelope (Susan Scites) |
|
| Cremation: Burned Alive: Illusion by Paul Osborne, built by Corwin Scites. Performed by Eric and Susan Scites
|
Eric is the one getting blinded by the fire while trying to ignite the box. Susan is in the box making rather crude comments and gestures...Remember, it's called "Burned Alive"...

Poor, tired baby! |

| And THIS is how he spent the rest of the quarter, complaining about how HARD he had to work building the stupid set!

Corwin the So-So |
|
| Corwin the So-So, Jongoulier Unextraordinaire and the White Fakir! More importantly, the son of Eric and Susan. He began his stage career by being a herald for various Madrigal Dinners in Columbus, Ohio-following behind his father during the "Boars Head Carole". Then, he joined his father on stage at The Ohio State University, playing the cabin boy for is dad in a scene from the opera "Billy Budd". Just to give himself a well-rounded experience, he joined his father at a fudge shop learning the art of candy making, then helped him at the Ohio Historical Society's Ohio Village as a blacksmith apprentace-all before the age of 8!
His career REALLY took off, however, when he was in the 5th Grade while living in Hilliard, Ohio. One day in school, he saw an episode of the popular show "Bill Nye the Science Guy". This particular episode was on science experiments using weight distribution with a 'nail bed'. Excited, he ran home to his loving mother and father, asking for his own nail bed. Being the good parents that they are, they immediately purchased the materials and made him one. Then, they made him lay on it! The following year he learned how to juggle at the North Carolina Renaissance Faire in Raleigh, North Carolina, and his role was complete. He began once again traveling and performing with his father, all the while perfecting his art of annoying the tar out of his little sister! Oh, and picking up some more juggling tricks, as well!

Corwin is a full-time technical-theater student, and as such he is limited with how much traveling he is able to do. His technical theater credits have included work for the Paladium and Haverling College in London's West End, Nelsonville Music Festival where he worked stage and tech for Willie Nelson, Stewarts Opera House, Midland Theater, Arts West, the Palace Theater, Ohio Theater and others. Ask him. He's a bit shy, but if you ask nicely and offer him a Guinness, he might answer you...
