Virginia (Ginny) Scites
Zillah, the Girl Turk
and Caspar, the Magi Dog
Ginny (or Virginia, as she is NOW known in her 'grown-up-form, tho to her mother she will always be "chickie-babe" and to her father "that little bra...apple of my eye") is available to perform with the family on a limited bases. She has enrolled this year at Kentucky Christian University as a Freshman (where DOES the time go?) where she is persuing studies in Vocal Performance, Higher Education and that cute boy over in Dorcas Hall...

Tho limited in her performances with us, we look forward to her upcoming performances this fall and spring and the fact that once again we are proud when we see the girl no more, but the woman she is becoming!

The Girl Turk

Virginia (Ginny) Scites and Caspar the Dog are the two youngest members of the troupe. Ginny started with helping her dad (henceforth to always be known far and wide as that guy "who-will-never-meet-any-boyfriend-of-mine") with magic tricks. Before long, she moved up into the realm of animal training-first with her very own Flea Circus (known and loved as 'Virginia's Vermin') and then as the handler of "Mephistopheles, the Horrible KrimpVarkie from Hades Plutonium Shores". She wanted to be involved more within the show, so she took over as the resident talker for the Curiosity Cabinet. Her mother, Susan, taught her how to 'walk through a broomstick'-a family bit she learned from her grandmother, and she became the contortionist. She experimented around with fire-eating, but finally settled upon the obscure 14th century bit of sword-walking. Among other things, she is expanding her acts to include music and escapes.

Caspar the Dog joined us as a puppy in late 2005, and has spent countless hours in training. So far, he has taught Ginny how to rub his tummy, what food to feed him, when to bring him a sock, when to pick him up, and other small, yet essential, tricks. Eventually, we are hoping that he will take time out from his busy schedule of chewing shoes to learn the art of mentalism.
