Eric Paul Scites-The 'Professor' is a native of Meigs County, Ohio. Active in all manner of musical activities in High School, after graduating in 1980 he attended Milligan College in Tennessee, and Kentucky Christian College in Kentucky. While there he studied Voice Performance and Jazz Trumpet. After marrying his High School sweetheart, Susan in 1984 he spent the next several years serving in the United States Army in Germany. After his service time, he returned to The Ohio State University to continue his musical studies, graduating in 1993 with a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance. Currently, he is working on his Masters in Theology from Liberty Theological Seminary.
His professional experience includes work with OperaColumbus, Cecillian Singers, Actor's Summer Theatre, Right Mix, Mixed Company, Columbus Symphony, Kodaly Institute at Capital University to name a few. In 1994 he joined with another member of Mixed Company to start Faire Wynds Singing Duo, specializing in the folk music of Colonial America, His interest in the traveling performers in American History caused him to expand his performances to include magic and fire-eating, and so started Faire Wynds Historical Entertainments. After adding his son Corwin, then his wife Susan, and finally the youngest member Virginia, he finally was able to create a family troupe-Faire Wynds Circus, based upon the traveling entertainers of the past.
